| ABOUT DAVID Coach, Instructor, Author and Producer David Leadbetter is recognized by the international golf community as the world's foremost teacher of the game. His widely followed and unparalleled approach to golf instruction has revolutionized the game for millions, honing the skills of professional and amateur golfers the world over for nearly three decades. Biographical Information Originally from Worthing in Sussex, England, David began his career in golf on the European and South African Tours. He soon learned his real interest was in the technique, mechanics and intricacies of the game, which, in turn, led him to spending more time teaching rather than playing. Soon after David retired from playing, he began to incorporate his methods and philosophies into a stringent training program for qualified instructors, which is unequalled today. This allows David and his senior instructors to train a handful of elite instructors each year, who in turn share David's secrets with golfers around the globe. Professional Accomplishments No other golf instructor has had a bigger impact on the game. Today, David has 27 academies in 13 countries, and through the years has coached more than 50 touring professionals, including such prominent PGA Tour players as Aaron Baddeley, David Eger, Ernie Els, Scott Hoch, Charles Howell III, Nick Price, Justin Rose, Ty Tryon and Lee Westwood. Among his many accolades, David has been selected by his peers and identified by Golf Digest as the worlds #1 golf instructor. Additionally, David has written six golf instruction books, published in 10 languages, making him the world's leading author on the topic. He has written and produced eight full-length videos and nearly 50 television programs. He contributes regularly to Golf Digest and Golf International, and can be seen weekly on The Golf Channel. |
